Briana Thompson founded Spiked Spin & Wellness Co. in 2016 to create a wellness company that prioritized the cultural ethos of Black women and allies. Her vision for Spiked’s namesake is to honor the kick or spice Black Women bring to mainstream culture. “I wanted to create a space for all of our extra flavors to live unapologetically, and we celebrated in an industry where we are often excluded.”
Since its inception, Spiked Spin & Wellness Co. has supported thousands of women in their wellness journey and sparked critical dialogue within the wellness landscape. The Spiked Foundation is a meaningful next step in driving impact.
Through this work, we aim to equip the next generation with sustainable wellness tools to improve their well-being, prepare them to Insult the Standard, overcome societal obstacles, and live as healthy humans.
