The Structural Integrity Course offers a comprehensive programme to cover the main aspects of the assessment of industrial components under mechanical, thermal and environmental conditions. Divided in two parts, in a period of two weeks the course will provide delegates with the knowledge and skills necessary to engage in structural integrity assessment cases involving failure mechanisms as fatigue, fracture, corrosion, creep and their interaction. The course will first review key theoretical aspects for the delegates to understand or refresh key concepts, and will then make focus on practical issues of structural integrity assessment. Finally, the presentation and posterior solution of several case studies using the assessment procedures recommendations and some other novel approaches will be given.
The course will not only provide delegates the essential and advanced technical skills but will also offer the opportunity to build and improve the network across different industries and academia.
