The management team has over 150 years of collective experience in the areas of wholesale structured finance, funds management, property construction, leasing, property development and management.
Our partnerships include end to end property project management from the concept and design stage to project completion involving large scale institutional projects to smaller scale property projects. In addition to providing NDIS accommodation, SUMO offers investments in other commercial projects.
Sumo, in partnership with our associate Care Housing Solutions (a business name of Care Central Pty Ltd, “Care”), is actively developing a substantial portfolio of properties across eastern Australia. While a few of these have already been enrolled as NDIS-compliant Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) dwellings, the majority are currently under development, with up to 20 properties expected to reach completion over the next 12 months. Our objective is to build a high-quality, scalable portfolio that meets NDIA standards and appeals to institutional investors, with a focus on well-established, high-demand suburban locations.
Sumo retains the exclusive right to acquire Care’s qualifying and approved SDA properties, provided they meet defined acquisition criteria—including completion, full lease-up, and regulatory compliance. These qualifying assets may be included in a broader institutional portfolio divestment in the future.
Important Regulatory Note:
Under NDIS policy, all properties must be fully constructed and compliant before they can be formally considered for approval by the NDIA as an SDA property. This requirement is fundamental to Sumo’s project planning and acquisition framework. We note that it is in the NDIA’s discretion whether to enroll a dwelling when an SDA provider submits an application.
