The Surface Network currently delivers two products: - Smart Floor Care - Smart Floor Sport Our Smart Floor Care delivers specific information about movements based upon detecting human positions on the floor. This ‘human position information’ can be used real-time to detect and look at: • Falls; • Bed usage; • Wandering • Different patterns. As a result caregivers have a better insight on the urgency of certain situations, based on which they can act more adequately. The information from the floor can also be used for lifestyle monitoring and home automation, e.g. for automatically switching lights. Our Smart Floor Sport delivers specific information about individual movements based upon detecting feet positions on the floor. This ‘feet movement information’ can be used real-time to: • Measure athletes performance; • Measure school gymnastics in education facilities; • Prevent injuries; • Perform sport rehabilitation. But the information from the floor can also be used to make the gym interactive; lights, sound, image and/or film projection and video can be triggered. An important factor of Smart Floor is the ease-of-installation: current installers of floor coverings should also be able to install Smart Floor, without being dependent of E-installers, ICT-experts or suppliers of home automation.
