The Symposium is a non partisan, non-profit organization whose mission is to foster a culture of free speech and free inquiry on college campuses by exercising them on a weekly basis.
It aims to create a safe space for free speech; to build the intellectually stimulating and diverse environment that is being threatened in contemporary universities; and to provide students and staff with a platform where they can openly debate controversial issues and ideas of their choice.
We firmly believe that civil discourse and the free exchange of ideas offer a solution to the growing polarization and intolerance seen on college campuses today.
The Symposium was founded at Syracuse University in 2023.
