The Thread Design Studio

Everything you can imagine, is real. Picasso once said. These few words represents The Thread Design Studio’s leitmotiv. Behind this design practice is Isa Sanchez, the studio Founder and Creative Director. She is a young designer who describes herself as too many people. With an academic background in architecture, in her early childhood she dreamt about being an archeologist and later on about studying anthropology and modern languages to understand mankind, as if it was such a simple task. But for some reason, she ended up following the most material and enriching path to build her own design criteria, develop ideas and to get to know people. Her architecture experience trained her to see the total picture of projects and things. Her passion for detail and observation refined her meticulous design skills. Her talent to create strong concepts helped her bring to live abstract ideas. Her love for beauty and fashion took her to be a reference among friends and colleagues about shapes, colors, light, fabrics, textures and how to create emotions in a space or person with these elements. After some time spent unknitting her own thread an added value to offer, she finally took all her many people and placed them together under one idea: a multidisciplinary design studio whose practice develops in three design fields: concept, project and experimental design. From the addition of everything she was, and still is, she built the concept of a studio specialized in creating and overseeing the aesthetic coherence in all kind of projects, from interior design, to styling, branding, visual storytelling, object curatorship and art direction. The Thread Design Studio is more than the addition of all its parts. Authenticity, coherence and audacity are the brand’s main values. As well as its founder, the studio is always looking to connect what seems to be random dots and people and convert them into potential collaborations and partnerships all around the world.
