Some of us have been through the justice system, some of us haven’t. But working together, the Turnaround Project helps people who are serving sentences in Northern Ireland to turn around their futures, and engages the wider community in supporting them on that journey.
Our 'Equipping People' work offers people the opportunity to participate in a mutually supportive community and access personal development opportunities to equip them to overcome barriers they are facing.
Our 'Enabling Employment' work helps people to secure employment. That could be a 'transitional employment' opportunity in 'Outwork' - our social enterprise grounds maintenance service - or a conventional employment opportunity with other employers.
And through our 'Engaging and Advocating' work we are bringing the voice of lived experience to the wider community, increasing awareness of the barriers that people face as they leave the justice system, and encouraging people to think about what they might do to lower those barriers.
Working together, we are pursuing our vision of an inclusive community where everyone has hope and opportunity.
