The WELL Collaborative

The WELL (Weight Education and Lifestyle Leadership) Collaborative connects people from across Western Australia to drive systems and local level collective action to improve the way we view, discuss, and address weight, health and wellbeing. We believe that every person navigating weight related health concerns deserves to be heard and should be equipped with both the science and understanding they need to make their way in an informed and empowered manner. Our direction is informed by lived experiences, clinical expertise, and research evidence to create opportunities for dialogue and action to positively impact peoples’ lives; consumers, practitioners and professionals alike. Our strength lies in providing a space for people to connect with each other and with the right information to work together to create community and society level changes, improve professional knowledge and practice, and support personal health and wellbeing journeys. The WELL Collaborative is currently supported by three Steward organisations: Health Consumers’ Council, WA Health, and West Australian Primary Health Alliance. However, we are a network of change makers from all walks of life, professions, and organisations, including people impacted by overweight and obesity, and we welcome the growth of this movement as we continue to strengthen and build on our foundations.
