The Word Workshop

The Word Workshop is the creative home of freelance writer, PR and project manager, Kerry-Ann Scrase. Kerry-Ann is a qualified journalist, with more than 30 years of writing experience across all genres of writing from hard news to feature writing, trade journalism and public relations. Nowadays she prefers to think of herself as a wordsmith – someone who takes words and moulds them in order to create whatever her clients need – be it press material, scripts and presentations, speeches, copy for brochures or training manuals, website or social media content. Kerry-Ann has worked broadly across several industries from beauty and cosmetics to health and wellbeing to chemical, industrial and just about everything in between. Her take on any industry is – “what you do not know, you can learn.” She has also worked extensively with various charities and in the area of corporate social responsibility. The Word Workshop has also evolved thanks the changing methods of communication and marketing. This has included gaining an understanding of the basics of social media and digital marketing as well as simple website design for small, niche clients.
