The Writers' Express

The Writers' Express operated as a non-profit from 1994 - 2009 with the mission to help children find their voices and learn how to write. The organization developed its own programs as a research base, implemented professional development programs across the country, and wrote 2 national curricula. In 2009, Wireless Generation (later renamed Amplify) bought the intellectual property and contracts, and absorbed all of the staff. The non-profit was renamed Summer Ink and still operates the Summer Program on the campus of Simmons University.
