YPF organiseert concerten, concoursen en masterclasses en brengt tevens CD's uit. Om de drie jaar vindt in Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ (Amsterdam) de finale plaats van het YPF piano concours, waar de drie grootste jonge pianotalenten dan te bewonderen zijn.
YPF stelt zich ten doel initiatieven te ontwikkelen, in aanvulling op de muziekscholen en conservatoria, om de kansen voor het schaarse piano toptalent te vergroten. In haar initiatieven neemt YPF het internationale topniveau steeds als standaard en stimuleert jonge, talentvolle pianisten tot excelleren.
