As advocates for the value of our heritage, ARCHV is a movement working towards making more tangible the access we lost to curate and guard our history and heritage and languages due to colonialism, slavery, poverty, etc. United Nations World Population Prospects data states that by 2050, 25% of the world population will be African. As the youngest continent with a median age of 19 and history previously preserved by mainly oral modes, ARCHV invites the collective agency of its community among the African Diaspora, Afro-Descendants and Afro-Allies to build a considered future, based on a more accessible past. ARCHV aims to create a digital space for social interaction pertaining to African history, heritage and culture and language by connecting Africans young and old, in a collective effort to fill the gaps in preserving and curating our history and its wisdom, and then making that available to the rest of the community.
