The Brian Conlon Foundation was founded in April 2022 by Brian’s wife Julie, sister Kathy and brother Ciaran to celebrate his life, promote his passions and continue his legacy.
In Brian’s professional and personal endeavours, he made a substantial contribution to the local community from a business, educational, sporting, and charitable perspective. He supported many people and deserving causes often quietly and without fuss. The cornerstone of our Foundation is to continue the spirit of his renowned generosity in making contributions to the areas in Brian’s life that he cared passionately about to include:
Education – Pathways to opportunities
Amateur Sport – Participation and achievement
Enablement through Charity giving
Cancer Research and prevention
Hometown of Newry – Supporting local communities
Brian touched hundreds of people’s lives and by setting up the Foundation we want to create a fitting memory to Brian, make a difference in the local community (as he had done) and a Foundation which is sustainable and gives his friends and family something to be proud of.
The Foundation is initially funded by Brian’s family. 100% of all funds donated or raised through the foundation will be distributed directly to beneficiaries in Brian’s honour and memory.
