About The Coping
The Coping is for individuals, families & organisations focused on self-discovery & connection. As a social enterprise, we raise mental health awareness & promote communication that brings about more joyful and meaningful futures for all. The Coping Festival is our yearly event at Graystone Action Sports, which brings our community together to CARE (Connect, Act, Reflect, Educate). The festival inspires all who it reaches to look out for each other & the planet we share. This year with the help of our community we hope to make The Coping Festival a donation oThe Coping Festival is our yearly event at Graystone Action Sports, which brings our community together to CARE (Connect, Act, Reflect, Educate). The festival inspires all who it reaches to look out for each other & the planet we share. This year with the help of our community we hope to make The Coping Festival a donation only event, to make it accessible to all. We can make this happen with sponsorship from those who see the value in investing their CSR or marketing budget into stories for brighter futures. The festival hosts uplifting, transformative workshops, collaborations & activations that connect charities, brands, employers & individuals. It unites all walks of life, breaking down stereotypes & echo chambers. The Coping? In skateboarding, the coping is the edge of the ramp - the point where we push past limits to overcome our personal challenges. This metaphor for resilience grew from the tragic loss of pro skater Ben Raemers in 2019. Ben’s story inspired our mission. At the heart of everything we do is CARE: Connect - bring all walks of life together to achieve shared goals such as raising money for charity Act - help people connect their mind and body while challenging themselves in engaging activities Reflect - encourage personal & professional growth by helping create space for reflection Educate - make learning easy and inclusive, helping develop empathy for each other and the planet we share
