Founded by Lauren Alexander, The Couple That Bakes, is a female founded and owned business, which began from our small home kitchen, and has turned into a successful bakery in Killingworth, North Tyneside. Dreaming big dreams has always been something we do well, and The Couple That Bakes was another of these dreams. An idea which began, sitting in our living room, became a small business which produces luxury celebration cakes, cupcakes, sugar cookies and now works with well known and respected brands, providing corporate orders, across the UK. As the business grows, family still remains at the heart of The Couple That Bakes, with a sense of love, family and pride for what we create, running through the very core. Owning a small business, especially in today's economy can be tough, but when everyone pitches in the load is lighter. Nathan Todd, co-creator, specialises in managing of financial admin, as well as building strong customer relationships during collections and deliveries. Our dream for The Couple That Bakes is to grow our family run business, continuing to create quality products for our customers and corporate clients. Starting small and growing our business from the ground up, we are taking each step at a time, to continue growing our brand and keep producing new and exciting products which not only look good, but taste even better. Established in 2020, The Couple That Bakes will celebrate 5 years in business this year, we are immensely proud of our growth within this period, taking our business from a small start up based in our home, to having a commercial business premises. For your safety, and ours, we have public liability insurance, Level 2 in Food Hygiene & Safety, a Standard Agency Food Allergy certificate as well as being registered with North Tyneside Council, with a 5* Food Hygiene Rating.
