The surge of healthcare and ‘omics data presents both incredible opportunities and significant challenges. Traditional bioinformatics tools are fragmented, inefficient, and often require extensive IT support. As healthcare data generation outpaces existing systems’ ability to manage and analyse it, IT infrastructure becomes overwhelmed, and research progress is stifled. Moreover, a domain knowledge gap persists: biologists and clinicians understand complex medical science but often lack data analysis skills, while software engineers may not grasp biological contexts.
The Darwin Company bridges these gaps with a streamlined approach. We provide two key solutions: "Darwin Playground", a self-service software platform, and "Darwin Labs", a specialised consulting service.
To further support the community, we organise and run training workshops led by well-known researchers. These sessions are designed to build skills, connect researchers with other researchers in the broader community, as well as highlight current research projects. These initiatives aim to strengthen the support network, foster collaborations, as well as enhance and expand research ideas.
