The Empowered Press

The seeds for The Empowered Press were planted in late 2017 by founder Jill Carlyle. After graduating earlier that year from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature, Jill's passion for studying literature naturally segued into writing her own stories. She quickly discovered that traditional publishing was time-consuming and, well, daunting. Jill knew she would take the self-publishing route to publish her work and set out to help other budding writers do the same. The Empowered Press gives VOICE to the stories that matter. We support our writers on their journey to becoming successful, published authors. Our authors keep their creative freedom while working in a collaborative community of writing & publishing professionals. Founder, Jill Carlyle, is the best-selling author of Finding Fifty: A Memoir of Rising in Midlife and the forthcoming fiction novel A Place Beyond scheduled for publication this summer. She has authored various essays and articles on everything from family to the female voice.
