With a desire and commitment to impact, inspire and influence the landscape by which our youth are challenged the most, the Future Promises Foundation was established with a mission of "expanding intellectual imagination through education, leadership and opportunity." Focusing on the needs of the youth within the city of Wilmington, Delaware The Future Promises Foundation administers activities and programs fulfilling this mission through a number of programs including but not limited to the: Spring Break Heroes Camp: which is designed to inspire creativity and imagination of all youth between the ages of 5 and 12. This camp not only sparks their ability to dream but it also affords them the opportunity step outside of their comfort zone, meet new friends, and bridge the concept of fun and learning. The Adventure’s Summer Camp (2018): will introduce an exciting view of their world through adventures and exposure to new experiences shaped by exploration and fun. While most summer camps abandon the idea that learning only happens 9 months out of the year this camp creatively immerses youth in the concept of building on what they have already learned while actively engaging in new learning experiences. and, the flagship program, The Anomaly Project: A peer leadership and mentoring program for young African american and minority males between the ages of 12 and 18 traditionally housed in low income communities. This program will walked them through the principles of transitioning into responsible and respectable young men as well as effectively equipping them with the necessary tools to excel beyond standard expectations of economic, social, and educational limitations. In order to bring change to communities we must first start with the needs of the youth within them. This program though still in its developmental stages aims at reinvigorating the concept of mentoring and leadership development
