The Gaia Center for Embodied Healing is an outpatient psychotherapy practice in Nashville, Tennessee. We offer individual, group, and couples counseling both in-person in our Nashville office, and virtually with clients throughout Tennessee. We work with clients with a broad variety of mental health challenges and goals.
Our mission is to support our clients in their growth and healing to expand the ripple effect from individual to collective liberation. We strive to create a culture and place where our employees look forward to coming to work, and a team that shares a desire to give back to our community.
The word “Gaia” (pronounced “guy”-ah) means “earth,” and in Greek mythology, it is the name of the earth Goddess— the ancestral mother of all life. We view mental health issues through a systemic lens: just as an individual’s mental health can’t be separated from the influence of their family of origin, it can’t be separated from the culture they are living in, including identity-based oppression and environmental devastation. We are here to support our clients in weaving together individual liberation and collective care + healing for our communities and the wider world.
