The Giving Circle of Amsterdam

The mission of the Giving Circle of Amsterdam is to collectively fund and support social purpose projects and organisations. We do this by inspring a new community of engaged philanthropists and facilitating opportunities to link with like-minded organisations and networks. The Giving Circle of Amsterdam is a foundation where members pool and combine their money, talent and philanthropic interests in order to make donations collectively. How does it work? During the course of the year, the Giving Circle builds a pipeline of potential grantees by accessing member networks, like-minded organizations and tracking timely information and data on selected interest areas. Organizations who fit our funding focus, are invited to complete an application, describing a specific project for which funding is needed. The Giving Circle has two funding cycles per year, each cycle will focus on two interest areas. Decisions are made in May and November each year. Organizations who applied and presented at a Giving Circle meeting will be eligible for funding. At the end of each funding cycle, the Giving Circle will select organizations to support with their pooled funds. Currently, the Giving Circle of Amsterdam intends to provides grants around €5.000.
