The Hazel Project

The Hazel Project embraces those involved in the research and development of child focussed strategies to ensure that children in care have the best experiences. It brings together Diverse Care and Xcel 2000, fostering organisations which both received “Outstanding” Ofsted inspections in 2021 and 2022 and THP properties, formed in 2021 to look at assessing children who might otherwise be destined for residential care for fostering. The Hazel Projects roots can be traced back to the first ever independent fostering organisation, formed in 1987 by the mother of 2 of the Directors and all organisations work together in partnership to improve the lives of children in care.
