THEIA @U.Porto

The THEIA project – in copromotion between Bosch Car Multimedia Portugal, S.A. (Bosch in Braga) and University of Porto (U.Porto) - aims to improve the sensorial capacities of autonomous vehicles, implementing and validating perception algorithms based on data collected by sensors – specially focusing on the LiDAR sensor –, it builds precise, robust and safe vision of the vehicle's surrounding. The objective is to promote the best possible decision by the vehicle and increase the reliability of the systems, helping to prevent accidents on the road. Based on that, the THEIA project is organized in 5 subprojects, to implement new contributions in several areas of knowledge.
