The Learning Curve is a tutoring program affiliated with Gideon Math & Reading in Pembroke Pines. Since 2017, the program offers a variety of curriculum for parents and students interested in writing into elite private high schools, the SAT/ACT, college essay counseling, and most recently the FSA. The curriculum designed at The Learning Curve all have a student-first approach to the learning process, tailoring course materials to fit the individual needs of the students. Classes bridge practice and theory through a combination of collaborative work and the actual writing of official test materials. Instructors strive to give students constructive feedback and direct them to realistic short-term goals and study plans. Started in 2016 by Michael D. Chang, a student and researcher at Cornell University, as a pilot class for prospective high school juniors, the program has grown to instruct hundreds of students in the winter and summer break periods over the past two years.
