MAI Foundation

Guided by the belief that every human is meant to have basic needs met, the MAI Foundation works to help all people lead healthy, happy and productive lives. In developing countries, it focuses on improving people’s health, standard of living, education and giving them the chance to lift themselves out of hunger and extreme poverty. Especially in Nigeria, it seeks to ensure that all people—especially those with the fewest resources (which are almost more than 50 percent of the population)—have access to the opportunities they need to succeed in school and life. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, the foundation is led by and under the direction of CEO Ayomide Iwalaiye.
