The Lake Michigan College Mendel Center includes three venues under one roof: GRAND UPTON HALL is one of the most flexible and convenient event venues in southwestern Michigan for: • Conferences & meetings • Weddings receptions • Fundraising auctions and dinners • Trade shows • Private parties When opened to its fullest, the 14,400-square-foot space accommodates up to 1,600 guests with theatre seating, 900 guests with banquet seating, or 98, 8’ x 10’ trade show booths. When partitioned, individual rooms accommodate 75 to 840 guests. Services include: • On-site catering • Liquor license & professional bartenders • Free, handicap-accessible parking • Experienced event planning services • Professional lighting, sound, & video support • Built-in projectors & screens • Catwalk for decorations & lighting • 14’ x 17’ overhead door for load-in & load-out • Access to break-out room • Linens, table service, tables, chairs, staging, & risers • Hearing assist devices & handicap accessibility The MAINSTAGE is the largest non-profit performing arts center in southwest Michigan. It is recognized for outstanding acoustic quality, professional-level artist accommodations, and technical specifications able to handle the largest of productions. The 1,559-seat Mainstage theatre is supported by an expert technical team. Professional backstage areas include dressing rooms, green room, and laundry facilities. It is surrounded by three spacious lobbies. The front lobby houses The Mendel Center box office with space for merchandise sales, meet and greet events, and concession services. The North and South Lower Lobbies can be used for pre- or post-show gatherings and other stand-alone events. The venue is handicap accessible and offers free parking on the south side of the building. The versatile 250-seat HANSON THEATRE lends itself well to stage plays, acoustic music performances, stand-up comedy, and lectures. It shares backstage facilities with the Mainstage and is run by
