A blank page is my canvas and letters and keystrokes my brush and paint. As an artist would sketch out an idea, then bring it to life with colors and details, I start with a jumbled draft of words that is refined and edited over days, until I am happy to reveal my work. Medical writing for medical education is a niche that brings together my interest in science, medicine, and communication.” Helen Fosam is an experienced medical writer and editor with over 15 years of experience, earning her doctorate degree in physiology from Sheffield University, UK. Helen spent several years as a basic science researcher, in academia as faculty member, in the healthcare sector as R&D adviser, and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. Helen has been involved in medical education since 2003 and is skilled in all phases of medical writing and editing in a variety of therapeutic areas.
