Nixor Engineering Solutions has worked on a plethora of projects that speak for our team's drive and motivation.Some of our projects include: • The Amazing Spaghetti Machine: A Rube-Goldberg machine is a deliberately complex contraption in which, similar to a set of dominoes, activating one device triggers the next, eventually completing a simple task. It, however, is a way to display one's engineering skills in an unmatched and creative manner. NES was internationally recognized for the Rube-Goldberg machine made in 2015 with the 1st Runner-Up position in University of Melbourne's The Amazing Spaghetti Machine Contest of that year. • The Restoration of a jeep: NES Students showed off their mechanical prowess by bringing a 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser back on the roads. The project required complex know-how of a jeep's interior, prepared students for a career in automotive engineering and allowed car enthusiasts the thrill of driving a vintage jeep as if it was new. The jeep was then sold bringing massive revenue for the entity to be used for future projects. The construction of an aluminium boat: One of NES' star projects was when it made a 17' speed boat out of nothing but aluminium sheets. Care was made to make the boat both sturdy, lightweight and streamlined for maximum performance. Knowledge of fluid dynamics proved essential during the project. The boat was then proudly displayed at the National Sailing Centre. • The Dunk Tank: NES created a dunk tank from scratch for the annual House Of Dreams Water Carnival at Nixor. The mega event is always a huge financial success contributing heavily to the projects of Nixor's charitable organizations and the dunk tank has always been a huge reason for that. • A Go-Kart: Building on the knowledge gained from restoring the land cruiser, NES constructed a fully functional go-kart. The go-kart was made with a 110cc petrol engine.
