During the civil unrest resulting from the murder of George Floyd, The New Standard Group (TNSG) was created as a virtual platform to unite black men across the United States. The goal was to provide a safe space for black men to share dialogue on various sensitive topics. Trauma, health, relationships; nothing was off limits.
Currently, our Tampa chapter consist of 100+ local black men including 27 small business owners, 33 different career types, having received 25 different types of college degrees, 51 industry certifications and representing all 4 branches of the military. In 2022, we hosted multiple enrichment workshops, social outings and empowerment summits, and have partnered with numerous other local organizations to serve the Tampa Bay Community.
