The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre strive to help them to cope whatever the circumstances by providing a carefully selected mix of treatments, complementary therapies, activities and practical support to anyone living or receiving treatment in Enfield. For more than two decades, The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre has been a beacon of hope for those touched by cancer in Enfield. Our purpose is simple: to enhance wellbeing and quality of life for individuals with cancer and their support networks as they navigate the changes a diagnosis brings. Each cancer journey is unique, so our approach is tailored to individual needs. Through our free services, we empower clients to build resilience, manage anxiety, and regain control over their future. Led by CEO Nick Jacobs and Head of Services Fiona Connell, our centre thrives thanks to qualified professionals and volunteers who put client care first. We've helped over 20,000 people navigate cancer, with significant growth in recent years. We offer emotional support (counselling, mindfulness, art therapy), complementary therapies (reflexology, massage, reiki), physical activities (FitSteps, pilates, yoga), and community groups that foster lasting connections. The Nightingale is recognised as a leading provider in the cancer care sector. We collaborate with organisations like North London Hospice, Cherry Lodge, UCLH and UCL to improve cancer care. Our annual Night Hike saw 1,000 participants in 2024, raising nearly £93,000 - about 20% of our annual costs. Join us in May 2025! With 1 in 2 people affected by cancer during their lifetime, our services are increasingly vital. Despite growing demand, we receive no dedicated government funding. We rely entirely on community support and corporate partnerships to continue our work.
