Located in a renovated 300 year old building in Ireland's Hidden Heartlands, our roastery and coffeebar has a unique, easy-going vibe which makes for the perfect resting spot to recharge and re-caffeinate. The island style counter, handmade from recycled wood, concrete and balanced over sacks of green coffee beans reflects the coffeebar’s stripped back, casual yet interesting and innovative approach. The coffeebar is the first in Europe to feature the super trendy espresso ModBar equipment which gives more opportunity for engagement and interaction between baristas and guests. It puts the coffee making process in front of the customer, opening up the possibility for deeper engagement and appreciation. We are passionate about creating memorable coffee experiences. With at least 10 different coffees on the bar, our experienced and passionate baristas will select the perfect coffee for you and are more than happy to engage in conversations with coffee curious visitors. The expertise is there, and available to anyone who wants to learn more about coffee and the roasting process. Another unique feature to the coffeebar is our Giesen Coffee Roaster, which operates daily and is fully visible for visitors to watch the green beans transform into the flavoursome coffee that is served at the bar and available to purchase online and in-store. We have been roasting onsite since January 2018 and are already proud partners to some of Ireland’s finest artisan cafes. The Old Barracks Coffee Roastery and Coffee Bar offers live artisan coffee roasting, specialty coffee and teas, exclusive retail space with apparel and coffee gear, coffee roasting and group coffee tasting tours, stripped back interiors and events that foster the laid back and fun vibe of the new business.
