Theoreo is a dynamic and young company active in biomedical research with a particular focus on metabolomics and translational and personalized medicine.
The laboratory is active in multiple fields, including forensics, animal, and botanic, addressing particular interest in biomedical research.
Currently, we are developing several innovative diagnostic tests, including one for early, non-invasive diagnosis of fetal malformations (MAMA Test) and one for non-invasive screening of endometrial cancer (MEDEA Test).
Theoreo was established in 2015 as a spin-off of the Department of Medicine and Surgery at the University of Salerno. It has the most advanced technologies in both chromatography and mass spectrometry, thanks to which it offers target and untargeted metabolomics and bioinformatics and machine learning services.
Metabolomics is the study of the complete set of metabolites, (small molecules present in a biological sample) and provides a comprehensive snapshot of the metabolic processes taking place at any given time. Theoreo's main mission is to catalyze innovation and translate metabolomics from the laboratory to real-world use.
