Started with one item hand crafted “Thepla” the most common Gujju Dish from home and with aim to formalize the home cooked food for healthy leaving of neighborhood now has grown to 250+ items under the banner of “Thepla House by Tejal’s Kitchen” Serving 4000 Various dishes daily from 5 outlets with 1000 Orders a Day.. The concept of “Thepla House by Tejal’s Kitchen” is to serve the home cooked food by using the best of the ingredients that are used at home using the 100% wheat flour, No Preservative, No Artificial colors, Sunflower oil, 100% natural ingredients and always prepared fresh on order and customized as per the need of the customers. Started from home and caried business for 1 year from home Tejal has started this business with 5 KG atta. After 1 year the profit earned was invested in taking the first commercial kitchen with open kitchen concept opened at Chandivali, Andheri. Slowly and steadily, it has been expanded to 3 more location namely Santacruz, Lower Parel and Mulund taking total count to 4 and soon to be opened at Borivali, Thane and New Mumbai. The startup has since then streamlined technology and sourcing ingredients at each location with the click of button. It works with very few suppliers as less as 7 to procure the entire 200+ raw material required for kitchen for ease of running the business. The brand sources these items without stocking up on inventory. The founders plan to use the same plan to scale up in the next few years by way of starting own outlet and giving the franchisee. The idea is to sell on their own platform along with maintaining a presence on food tech aggregators. Founded by Tejal shah in year 2018, Mumbai-based “Thepla House by Tejal’s Kitchen” aims to grow to 50-plus outlets across India in the next four to five years and expand to international destinations.
