THERAPY OF DANCE was founded in Berlin in 2019 when Elise Mireille decided to dance through her depression. She needed… Dance as as creative outlet. Community and connection to a dance (without party and drug culture). Conversation with others who supported each other to express every colour of emotion and normalise mental health. Elise Mireille combined her 12 years of professional hip-hop choreography, performing and teaching experience, along with 8 years experience in therapy for her own battle with depression, to create her own unique method. Since 2019, T.O.D. has expanded and launched in Auckland, New Zealand, where the dance classes are co-piloted by Jordan Malthus and Grace Ko. Not only that, but T.O.D. has created FORM dancewear in collaboration with designer Hannah-Lee Jade, T.O.D. IN CONVERSATION, a global podcast normalising wellbeing and produces branded collaborative events, too.
