The RARE (Reality, Autonomy, and Robot Experience) Lab was established in August 2023 by Prof. Zhao Han at the University of South Florida within the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, housed in the College of Engineering. The lab's mission is to tackle grand challenges in robotics by designing and evaluating both intuitive human-robot interactions and highly capable robotic systems, ensuring the benefits of robotics are accessible and sustainable for society. Guided by its vision, the RARE Lab aspires to pioneer an era where robots enhance human experiences, enabling seamless interaction, collaboration, teamwork, and cohabitation with advanced robotic technologies.
