There There is an experimental architecture practice that fluctuates between design and research and between Los Angeles, Mexico City, and Madrid. Through architectures, counternarratives, and fictions we challenge dominant worldviews, materialize alternative imaginaries and catalyze meaningful experiences. Understanding collaboration as an essential part of architecture, we conceive each project as a transformative journey traveled together with our clients and allies, leading to unexpected and unique destinations. Believing in the transformative potential of architecture, we are immersed through each of our processes in a perpetual search for a more just, inclusive and caring world. ThereThere work includes built and ongoing projects in California, Mexico, UK, Germany, Austria and Spain. Our projects, collaborations and research have been recognized with the Europan urban design competition award, Architecture + Design Museum of Los Angeles Design Awards, the AIAS Research Honor Award, and the SEED Award for Excellence in Public Interest Design. Our work has been featured in numerous group exhibitions, including EUROPAN 16 Austria—Living Cities, Los Angeles Forum for Architecture and Urban Design Every.Thing.Changes, and shows at Architecture + Design Museum of Los Angeles, CCCB in Barcelona, and Galerie im Saalbau in Berlin.
