The Mustard Seed, University of Calgary Chapter

The Mustard Seed University of Calgary Chapter is an on-campus student organization that works with The Mustard Seed Shelter, whose vision is "Building Community, Growing Hope, Supporting Change." We aim to combat poverty at its root by supporting The Mustard Seed's goal – meeting the basic needs of shelter, food, clothing, and inclusion for those experiencing poverty. This is achieved through individual and group volunteering with The Mustard Seed, fundraising events throughout the year, and importantly, advocating for The Seed and raising awareness in the campus community about poverty challenges faced by fellow Calgarians. We believe in providing regular volunteer opportunities for students to actively make a difference in the community while also growing their personal and leadership abilities. Additionally, we strive to make volunteering accessible and in a low-pressure environment through on-campus volunteering and events to engage the campus community.
