THESGI Farmers’ Cooperative of Thessaly was founded in 2013. Today, THESGI numbers 72 farmers - members and more than 10 employees. The headoffice is situated in Larissa (Greece) and the croplands of its members (30.000 acres) are extended in Thessaly. THESGI produces a diverse range of agricultural products which include cereals, legumes, cotton and vegetables producing more 20,000 tons of products (2016). Moving forward to vertical integration, processing and standardization, THESGI offers highly differentiated products of flour and flour mixtures to the Greek market. THESGI has also set up a business process providing its members agricultural supplies (fertilizers, seeds etc) in order to lower production costs. The majority of the production is being disposed through contractual farming.
