Helping people who survived a life-altering experience get back on track and find their path to new opportunities. When we have experienced a life altering event*, we have learned new skills, new ways to interact with others and the world, we have more knowledge of how things work in this universe, we form a new identity. * severe disease, major surgery, organ transplant, catastrophic accident, earthquake, violence, war, childhood trauma, divorce, the loss of a loved one... Sometimes we do all this really well, sometimes we get stuck, our view of the world becomes filtered through the lens of distress or distrust, or the fear of something else happening to us. That's when we want to not give up, that's when we want to get back on track and re-engage with our life in better ways, find a path to new opportunities. That requires just one thing: the will to do something about "it", whatever that "it" is for you, the courage to process what happened in safe ways so that you can find the freedom to move on. We believe that Trauma is Overcomeable. We believe in a world where Humans process trauma so that they can create a life of purpose for themselves and others. The Mission of TheTraumaSherpa is to help people who survived a life-altering experience get back on track and find their path to new opportunities.
