The Tonkin Highway Extension and Thomas Road Upgrade project will improve safety, connectivity and freight efficiency for Perth’s growing south-east corridor.
The extension of Tonkin Highway will reduce traffic pressure and travel time for private and freight traffic, improve road connectivity between current and future residential, business and employment precincts, and improve safety.
This project will deliver 14 kilometres of new highway, a widened Thomas Road for safer travel, new interchanges and bridges to improve traffic flow and enhanced shared paths for pedestrians and cyclists.
