Many people today have books they do not have space for. Our aim is to provide a mutually beneficial way to assure that donated books remain in libraries; private, communal, or institutional. Through your book donation (from one book up to entire libraries) we create a dynamic library that keeps books accessible, in use and in circulation.
By building an interactive community library we promote a "free-to-read" environment where a wide scope of books, ranging in all disciplines and languages, are within reach. In the space we have provided at Bardo Clubhouse anyone can come read a book, and anyone can leave with one.
The dynamic library operates on three fronts:
- Exchange any book for a book.
- Books for sale. These are selected books of particular interest, rare and valuable editions, and cool finds. Not exchangeable.
- We provide books as donations to orphanages, schools and institutes.
The Vanished Library is a place where all books find homes.
