The Venkat Center for Skin ENT and Plastic Surgery is a unique institute dedicated to delivery of world class advanced skin, plastic and cosmetic treatments to all sections of patients. Started in 2003, as Venkat Charmalaya, the center quickly grew to be an institute of excellence in Dermatology and Hair Transplantation in Bangalore, of international repute. The Venkat Center (formerly Venkat Charmalaya) was first established in Vijayanagar, Bangalore in 2003 by Dr. Venkataram Mysore and Dr. Jayashree Venkataram upon their return from abroad to Bangalore. It quickly grew in size and stature to establish as one of the premier institutes for dermatology in the country. The success of the center led to the establishment of two other branches, in Cunningham road and Banashankari. It also led to the institution of a postgraduate fellowship program, recognized by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Today this fellowship position is one of the most coveted for aspiring dermatologists. Dr Aniketh Venkataram joined the center in 2016 and introduced plastic surgery services. He is one of the most highly trained cosmetic plastic surgeons in India, having trained in USA, Belgium, Istanbul, Taiwan and Dubai. Dr. Deeksha joined the center in 2018 and started ENT services. Having graduated from the prestigious KMC Manipal, she is well versed in all ENT services with a special interest in allergy treatment, vertigo and snoring treatment. At present the center is one of the largest facilities for Skin and Plastic Surgery in the country, employing 10 doctors and 30 staff. It has also gained a reputation for providing ethical care. The center remains committed to community services and offers a special clinic ‘Shraddha’ for underprivileged populations. The center has also published several community education booklets.
