WHAT WE DO: We make luxury affordable and accessible by handcrafting minimal yet deceptively functional wallets using the finest, responsibly made vegetable tanned leathers from all the famous tanneries around the world. WHY WE DO IT: Many of us do not see the problem for what it is just because, we are so used to it that it seamlessly blends into our lifestyle in a way that we don't even realize it as a problem. We say, that is how things are - haven't we all said that at some point in our lives? TWC is a conscious effort at solving the fat wallet problem. What could be a better testament of the inefficiencies of unnecessarily bulky wallets than "Wallet Sciatica"- A medical term for the condition caused by fat wallets. It is a Wallet-induced chronic sciatic nerve constriction inducing gluteal and ipsilateral lower extremity pain, tingling, and burning sensation. To put it simply, sitting with a fat wallet in your back pocket is bad for you. We started with the WHY and literally started subtracting to add meaning to our products. Questions like; Why do we need a fat wallet? Is a bifold design the best solution to carry cards and cash? With the market flooded with P2P payments and documents storage, issuance and verification services, do we really need a wallet that has 6 or 8 or 10 card slots forcing you to carry the cards you never have to use? Why do we carry so much trash along with cash in our bifold wallets? Is it because we want to or is it simply because we just forget it is there? Does it really have to be this way? HOW WE DO IT We believe in a design philosophy where form enables function through a design approach which isn't motivated by aesthetics and good looks, instead, the one that serves the bigger purpose of being functional while looking, feeling, and being minimal enough to be comfortably carried in your front pocket.
