The ThiruTamizh Foundation (TTF) works to provide Medical Services & Relief to the needy as well as Educational Development among the rural population and educationally backward communities, guided by the lines from the Classic Sangam Tamil Literature 'Purananooru' (Song 189), "Selvathu Payane Eedhal" (செல்வத்துப் பயனே ஈதல்), which translates to "The Greater Purpose of Wealth is Charity". TTF works toward the following aims in addition to these two major objectives: a. Tamil Language Development & Research b. Promotion of Agriculture & Animal Husbandry c. Women & Youth Empowerment d. Strengthening Child Welfare & Protection Systems e. Promoting & Developing Sports Activities f. Promotion of Native Folk Arts & Culture g. Promoting Environmental Conservation & Awareness h. Rural & Tribal Welfare i. Welfare of Differently-abled & Other Weaker / Vulnerable Sections of the Society In addition to the activities described above, the TTF also performs humanitarian social work during natural catastrophes and aids the community.
