This One Is On Us

This One Is On Us is a not-for-profit fan-driven DVD project documenting the Nine Inch Nails live experience. On 5th May, 2008, Nine Inch Nails released their latest album, The Slip, free, online, as a gift to their fans. Or as Trent Reznor put it: "This one's on me". On December 13th, 2008, dozens of Nine Inch Nails fans recorded the last show in the Lights In The Sky tour at Planet Hollywood, Las Vegas. On January 7th, 2009, over 400Gb of video from the Victoria, Portland and Sacramento shows was unofficially released by the band. By working together, the Nine Inch Nails fan community created "Another Version of the Truth" - a 3 disc release bringing together numerous editors, designers, and web programmers to create a professional digital film, followed by a physical release created by fans for fans. Several side projects have sprung from this venture, including a DVD of the first-ever performance of the band's landmark The Downward Spiral (more info: http://theninhotline.net/features/TDSlive/) and a concentrated effort to document the band's final 3-hour show at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. This One Is On Us is eager to promote other like-minded projects, and has lent its support to films from locations including Mountain View, Toronto, London, Australia, Kentucky, and Chile. To date, the group has received attention from media such as USA Today, Rolling Stone and Pitchfork TV, and holds the support of both the band and its fan community. This one is on us. Our time.
