I began my design career in 1987. The day after I graduated from high school, I dove head first into the world of designing ads and overseeing production for a small local newspaper in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. With only limited resources in which to work and no “formal” training, as the years passed me by, so did technology.
It wasn’t until during a most humbling interview, where I presented a portfolio filled with hand-rendered advertisements that I was asked if I had ever heard of Adobe Photoshop. "What's Photoshop?"... And so began the journey into the Visual Communications program at The Art Institute where I graduated in 1999.
