Three Left Feet CIC

Founded in 2019, Three Left Feet (3LF) are a young, innovative, female-led theatre and events company situated in North West England. We strive to rethink storytelling by producing spellbinding, collaborative theatre which transforms and transports audiences beyond their reality. Between October and December 2019, we developed our first two live performances. The first was A Christmas Carol, where actors performed in conjunction with puppets and a live brass band in Waterstones; we also recorded a radio play version of the script to enhance the show's reach and increase online accessibility. The second was A Fisherman's Tale, an eco-critical, seafaring, fairy-tale piece, in Lancaster's Maritime Museum, this was performed once again as part of the Festival of the Earth at the Lancaster Priory beneath the Gaia exhibition, and once more as part of Escape2Make’s flagship Green Festival in 2022. In 2020, we received money from Arts Council England to record a feature length shadow puppetry production of The Snow Queen in partnership with the Dukes Theatre; in 2021 we partnered with the Lancaster University Confucius Institute and Lancaster Music Festival on a shadow puppetry performance narrated in both English and Mandarin with live chinese music, and in 2022 we staged a production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night outdoors in the beautiful Williamson Park, which was also made possible through funding from the Arts Council. For all of our productions to date we have exclusively employed a North West based creative team and performers. For both The Snow Queen and Twelfth Night this included a large majority of actors for whom this was their first professional credit. For the last three years we have worked with Lancaster BID to offer various entertaining tours around Lancaster for Halloween and for DinoFest. We offer affordable adult acting classes every Monday evening from 7-8.30pm at the Gregson Centre in Lancaster, which are open to anyone over the ago of 18.
