Threshold Planning Studio Inc. and its owner and Principal Planner, Jennifer Lim, work and live on Treaty 1 territory, the ancestral and traditional homeland of Anishinaabe peoples. As Treaty People, we recognize and acknowledge that Treaty 1 took this territory from seven local Anishinaabe First Nations in order to make the land available for settler use and ownership. Operating on Treaty 1 Land, Threshold Planning Studio Inc. provides land use planning and design consultation for individuals and communities in and around the southern half of Manitoba. The company was founded in 2020, engaging 17-years of land use regulatory policy experience with each client’s vision, attentive of politics, culture, and environment. Threshold Planning Studio employs design knowledge to develop policy and design spaces that are more equitable and accessible, thereby shifting power balances, with the ultimate goal of honouring the land. Jennifer Lim MCIP RPP is the Principal Planner and Owner of Threshold Planning Studio. She has over 17 years experience in the public sector and is keen to advise on the impacts of policy. She has built a solid reputation for her thoroughness, resourcefulness, and care.
