MISSION:
Our mission is to increase the reach and effectiveness of conservation across Indonesia by empowering an emerging cohort of Indonesian conservationists.
Our overarching mission is broken down into two major goals:
1. Establish and drive projects that are addressing localized, small-scale but critically important conservation issues in Indonesia.
2. Uncover exceptional Indonesian early-career conservationists and invest in their development long-term through employment in challenging front-line projects.
VISION AND PURPOSE:
We want to live in a world where anyone can be a conservationist, where people from all backgrounds are empowered to create positive environmental change in their own communities, and where the traditional barriers to a career in this sector are a distant memory. Ultimately, we want to live in a world where people and nature re-connect and thrive together.
WHAT WE DO:
We support young Indonesians to address overlooked environmental issues on land and in the ocean.
These young leaders work together with local communities and decision-makers to solve conservation problems. We connect young conservationists with experts to create networks for knowledge exchange and to design effective action. Supported by mentors, we enable them to find appropriate solutions that allow people and nature to thrive.
WHERE WE GO:
We identify gaps in conservation efforts across Indonesia. We step into issues or locations that do not have sufficient devoted resources: knowledge, funding and dedicated people.
