Throp Media is a media startup with an initial focus on scaling the "Throp" YouTube channel from 22,000 subscribers to 1 million subscribers in 3 years. This will be accomplished through creating premium content that provides viewers extensive value as it relates to the Jamaican experience through the eyes of guests as well as from the point of view of Winthrope Wellington, the host of the “On Deck with Throp'' video podcast. The company aims to drive culture and meaningful connections through video media. We believe the eternal power of storytelling can open the eyes of viewers to a Jamaica they may not have known existed through worthwhile perspectives.
