Thrust Energy is an unconventional shale / coalbed methane focused operating company. We are developing a 428,000 acre liquids rich shale project in the Southern Rockies. The drilling program incorporates some 1,338 drillable locations with a total reserve potential of 717 million barrels of oil equivalent (717 MMBOE). The company is also the lead for emerging technology from a funded 9 year R&D program for 3D seismic and reservoir modeling software emerging from a partnership with Sandia and Los Alamos National Laboratories in New Mexico, and is also the lead for patent-pending Directed Beam Seismic methods.
Using unique technologic competitive advantages, Thrust is also focused upon Direct Porosity Detection of bypassed oil in the Permian Basin, where management has a 30 year history of technical success leading to major new reserve discoveries. The target oil volume in our Permian Basin play is 5 billion bypassed barrels, 5 times the size of the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve. The target volume occurs in bypassed porosity in a 2,100 square mile producing reef complex.
